Mike Buckley has been a permanent deacon in the Archdiocese of Saint Louis since 2002.  He serves as Director of the historic Saint John Nepomuk Chapel in the Soulard area of Saint Louis and assists the pastor at Saint Bernadette Church in the Jefferson Barracks area of metro Saint Louis.  He’s a former pastoral care minister at Saint Clare Health Center in Fenton, MO.

Mike has been married to his wife Jan for 44 years.  They have four adult “children”, four grandchildren, and one more on the way.

After retiring from his job in sales, marketing, and administration, Mike has been spending his time on his vocation as permanent deacon, riding his bicycle (when the weather is warm) and writing this blog/podcast.  In October, 2008, Mike was a presenter at Podcamp Ireland held in Kilkenny.

Mike is a former member of the Board of Examiners for the Excellence in Missouri Foundation, helping to evaluate Missouri organizations for the highly-respected Missouri Quality Award.

Mike’s ministry revolves around spreading the gospel and bringing Catholics back to the faith.  He has preached at parishes in the Saint Louis area on pro life issues and especially enjoys working with youth.
