Mike Buckley has been a permanent deacon in the Archdiocese of Saint Louis since 2002. He assists the pastor at Saint Bernadette Church in the Jefferson Barracks area of metro Saint Louis. He’s also a pastoral care minister at Saint Clare Health Center in Fenton, MO.
Mike has been married to his wife Jan for 41 years. They have four adult “children”, two grandchildren, and two more on the way.
After retiring from his job in sales, marketing, and administration, Mike has been spending his time working on a small business blog, Mining the Store, and on this blog/podcast. In October, 2008, Mike was a presenter at Podcamp Ireland held in Kilkenny.
For the past five years Mike has been a member of the Board of Examiners for the Excellence in Missouri Foundation, helping to evaluate Missouri organizations for the highly-respected Missouri Quality Award.
Mike’s ministry revolves around spreading the gospel and bringing Catholics back to the faith. He has preached at parishes in the Saint Louis area on pro life issues and especially enjoys working with youth.
